The Opintoluotsi development project was set up by the Finnish Ministry of Education for 2000–2007. This project is supported by the European Social Fund and the Ministry of Education and is administered and coordinated by the Palmenia Centre for Continuing Education of the University of Helsinki.
The Opintoluotsi.fi service was launched in 2002. This online service, administered by the Ministry of Education, will continue to be available to the public after the development project ends.
