Responsibilities
A cleaner’s duties depend on where he works. Cleaners work for cleaning services companies, property maintenance companies, industry, commercial firms and the public sector. Some are self-employed.
A cleaner uses the following: cloths, brushes, mops and machinery. The places where he works may be narrow, draughty, damp or noisy. Working positions may cause strain to the musculoskeletal system.
Skills
Cleaners need to be in good health and have an independent approach to work. They should also be conscientious, responsible and have a good attitude to providing a service.
